A highly productive event titled “Career Transition in Data Analytics” was held for Engineering
students at SRM University, Delhi NCR Campus, Ghaziabad on 01 Jun 2022.
Dr. Vipul Vashisht, Ph.D. was invited to interact with students on Career prospects in Data
Analytics. Dr. Vipul spoke about the thriving demand of Data Analysts and the huge demand
supply gap that is currently existing in the job market. Organizations are facing a shortage of
qualified individuals with this specific skill set. To sustain this growth, the industry will need to
continue working towards strengthening academic partnerships and skilling digital-ready talent.
Internships in degree courses are instrumental in strengthening the employability of students
and providing them with the opportunity to gain work experience in a practical setting. Dr. Vipul
spoke about their technology business organization- Lagozon Technologies Private Limited,
kind of projects and analytics use cases they execute for their customers, and roles that data
analyst and data scientist play at their organization. Most importantly, he explained the right way
to upskill in analytics and the building blocks of data platforms.
